Bandemer Park Brochure
Overview
This project focuses on designing a printed brochure that encourages University of Michigan students to visit Bandemer Park, a local outdoor area along the Huron River. With complete creative freedom, I aimed to capture the park’s relaxed, social atmosphere and position it as a “hidden gem” for students seeking balance between community and nature.

Fall 2025
Process
I began by visiting multiple local parks, documenting their atmosphere, amenities, and appeal to students through photos and field notes. After comparing sites, I selected Bandemer Park for its variety of activities and strong student presence.
Early sketches and folding prototypes helped me plan how information could unfold for the reader. I experimented with different grid systems before finalizing a five column layout that supported both text and imagery. Iterations focused on refining tone such as moving from overly formal to a conversational, student friendly voice and strengthening hierarchy through type size, color, and line work.
Final Spread
Results
This project deepened my understanding of how print design can guide experience through thoughtful hierarchy and spatial design.
Outcome
The final folded brochure communicates clearly and efficiently, functioning both as a map and a guide. The design captures feeling and quality of exploring the park itself.
