My name is Madelyn Schlachter and I am a graphic designer specializing in branding, identity, and editorial design. I grew up in Lake Orion, Michigan and began developing my creative foundation through illustration. That early love for drawing taught me a lot about patience and the importance of detail. 

In 2023, I began pursuing a BFA at the University of Michigan Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design. Since then, I have dedicated my practice towards developing a strong design foundation, mastering my abilities within the Adobe creative suite, and exploring how visual systems communicate meaning with clarity. I approach design as a puzzle: where every type choice, layout, or color puts me one step closer to a clear and cohesive whole. 

My current work focuses on branding, typography, publication design, and I'm beginning to expand into UI/UX to explore how digital experiences can give the same experience as print. Beyond software and skills, I'm most interested in how design can shape the way people can connect with ideas, brands, and each other.
